Everybody knows that when you consider views of the community, you can't ignore the fact that the Democratic Party didn't represent a large number of view in Hong Kong.@

Note :

The Democratic Party led by Martin Lee (W), secured 19 of the 60 seats up for grabs in the last elections to the legislature conducted by the British Hong Kong Administration. The party managed 12 of the 20 places on offer for geographical "first past the post" direct elections and five more from the functional constituencies. Out of the 10 places reserved for the electoral college, it carried two. The number of Democratic Party legislators dropped to 13 after the electoral rules were revised once again in 1998.
