Do you want to live in a community
where bank loans are determined by Politicians
Where economies have been seen as a sort of joint venture between politicians and businessmen in Asia and elsewhere, you inevitably see endemic corruption, and that's what others are trying to move away from.
Do you want to live in a community where bank loans are determined by politicians, where commercial decisions are taken by a small, as it were, Hong Kong Inc., of a few business leaders and a few civil servants or politicians?
I don't believe there is even one scintilla of an argument for politicians and civil servants in Hong Kong trying to start running the economy.
I tell you this, what will happen in Hong Kong is what happens everywhere else, they'll make a mess of it.
